This sweet antique chest was so much fun to do. It had such potential with those beautiful carved drawer fronts! I don't have a before pic, it was your typical antique dresser base only with amazing carved drawers. It seems there are two things I am really into right now, heavy distressing and stained tops. I just LOVE the look! I painted this piece with a mistinted aqua paint I picked up at Home Depot so I don't have a color name. I sanded very heavily by hand moving through the different grits of paper for a layered look. This was quite a workout! The whole piece was glazed with walnut stain and finished with polyurethane.
