Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Remember my mission? To have my garage totally empty of furniture by July 4th. Things are going well, so far I have completely cleared the left side. YAY! I have had this depression era china cabinet for quite a while. She has a cute shape but the doors and drawer are pretty difficult. Not to mention she was painted what I have come to call "auction brown". It is the color brown furniture pieces are often painted because it looks like wood on the stage. Here is the before~
OK, true confession time here. I did not sand off all of that paint. I just roughed it up with my sander which I totally regretted. The next day in the morning light I noticed there were some drips in the old paint underneath and had to sand off my fresh paint and what was underneath. Here she is with a fresh coat of Apple Green, black and white polka dot fabric lines the back and drawer~
