Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

I am the worlds worst blogger. Not only have I been MIA for over a week, I have no "before" pictures for these 3 makeovers. Please forgive me, I promise to do better! I have 4 kids, so life can get crazy quickly around here! We went on vacation the weekend after the kids finished school for the summer. I was in a tizzy trying to wrap up projects, end of the school year parties, and packing. I think we are starting to settle into a summer routine now, so I will do better at keeping up my blog!

Project #1 ~
I won this antique sofa table at my favorite auction.
Sofa tables are such wonderful pieces, so versatile.
I used Behr Ultra Premium Plus in "Agave".

I love all of the pretty details brought out by light distressing!

Project #2~
Another auction find. Curse my camera! This chest is the most lovely shade of apple green~
One of my favorite pieces in a long time.
Blue rosebud knobs from Hobby Lobby~

 Distressed for a rustic feel~
My favorite part, blue interiors with fabric. The apple green and royal blue really POP!

I don't usually distress on top but I was going for a more rustic look with this piece.

Project #3~
This cute little drop front desk has been in my garage since the dawn of time!
I replaced the hardware, these are pull handles I picked up at Lowes on clearance for .33 each. I bought a ton, they are shiny brass but of course I know how to fix that.
The color is a pale aqua. Very calm and serene. It looks Martha Stewarty to me.
Very light distressing on the outside edges.
 Fabric lined drawers.
