Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Hello Yellow! Antique Chest of Drawers

I picked up this sweet antique five drawer chest at an auction a while back. It was love at first site with all of the curves and detail. She came to me bereft of handles and partly stripped.  Wonderful, not only did I get a bargain, it would be a guilt free makeover.

Am I the only one who sometimes feels a twinge of  guilt painting a true antique piece?

I wanted a country/rustic look so I painted with some leftover yellow paint I had in the garage. I used my sander all over after painting and then used a sanding block to finish the distressing process. The twig handles I found at my local Lowes added the finishing touch!
